Jack

Hi y'all, I'm jack. I am a five year old Plotthound. I know what your thinking, "Plotthound"? What in the world is a Plotthound? Well, not to toot my own horn or anything but I'm kind of a rare breed.(In most areas anyway)
I was a lucky pup. See, I'm a huntin dog. It's in my blood. I was born in Wisconsin to a really great breeder of some of the best bear hunting dogs around. Well there I was, about 6 weeks old, laying on my bed and minding my own business when it happened. In walks a man and sits down on the couch. Now, I hadn't been around long but this guy talked differently than anyone I had heard thus far. I listened for a little while and learned that he was from some place called Texas. I thought he was kinda interesting but I didn't let on. Next thing ya know, he was pettin on me. He picked me up and looked all over me then just laid me back down on my bed and sat back down on the couch. As I lay there I felt myself just kinda drawn to this fella. I held off long as I could and when I just couldn't take it anymore, I went and said hi to him again. Well he picked me up and sat me next to him but that just wasn't good enough. I climbed up on his lap and next thing ya know I was so comfortable that I passed out sleeping right there on his lap. Well, making a long story short, one day soon he came and took me home with him.
Ok, fast forward 5 years. I've flown in airplanes, been on boats, and traveled by road to around 30 states but I haven't seen anything like what Dad has gotten me into now. See Dad met this nice lady about a year ago and they are spending more and more time together. I like her fine but it's the baggage that came with her that is perplexing at times. See, she is the Human Mom to Izzy. Now Izzy is a French Bulldog. She is about knee high to a grasshopper, her head is about a third of her body, she can be bipolar at times, and she snores like a 400 pound man. (Dad says he thinks her Mom taught her that last part.) Oh, we get along great now but the beginning was a bit of a rodeo. We'll get into that later.
Then there is Jaxon... Now we have been hangin around here for a while and all the sudden Izzy's human Grandma came to live with her too and with her came Jaxon. This new lady is really nice too. in fact Dad gets a little put out sometimes with just how nice she is to us dogs. Dad has certain expectations of us and he dont like it too much when we get spoiled. And boy does she spoil us. She is different than other ladies I've known. I'm not sure how old she is but in dog years she must be like 9000 or something. She also has this long green cord thing that drags around behind her. This cord thing is hooked up to bottles that Dad says helps her breath. He gets awful nervouse when I get to runnin around. He just knows I'm going to trip on that cord and drag her across the house.
Ok, on to Jaxon. He is the Elton John of Boston Terriers. (Just with out the sequins). I mean come on he sleeps UNDER the covers with his mom. I could never get away with that. Jaxon is a nice guy but he has to stand on the couch to play with me and if there is a loud noise off he goes back under the covers.
We all get along pretty well but there is not a boring day I promise. Hey, I need to get off of here Dad is going to bed so we'll catch up to ya'll later. Be good.
